RULES AND GAME MODE

WHAT IS VOLLEYBALL?

Volleyball is a sport that is played with a ball and in wich two teams, made up of six player each, face each other on a game area separated by a central net, The objective of the game is to pass the ball over the net, making it reach the ground of the opposaite field while the opposing team simultaneosly tries to prevent it from achieving it. An attack phase arises in one team when they try to get the ball to touch the ground of the opposite field while a defense phase arises in the other team trying to prevent it.

Now that we know what this sport is about, we will talk about the rules and the game mode:

-Volleyball matches are played to the best of two rounds or blocks of points. In the moment in wich one of the two teams accumulates two won sets, they win the match and the match is over. A team wins a set when it reaches or exceeds 25 points with an advantage of two (for example, with 23-25 it wins, but with 25-24 it would be necessary to wait until 26-24 and so on, as long as neither one of the wo teams does not win or get the two bonus ponits).

The fields are raffled before the match, as well as the kick-off.

A point is scored when the opposing team commits any of the following fouls or infractions:

-If the ball touches the ground within the own field, whether the last touch corresponds to a player of their own or to one of the opposing team.

-If the ball ends up outside the playing court, either due to a misguided attack on the opposite field or due to an error when trying to defend. The fault corresponds to the player and the team that touched the ball for the last time, and the opponent scores a point.

-If the number of three allowed touches is exceeded without having passed the ball to the opposite field, or if the same player touches the ball twice in a row. As an exception, in the event of a block hit, that first hit is not counted towards the four team hit foul or the individual double.

-If at the time of the serve the players are positioned incorrectly, that is, it is not adjusted to the corresponding rotation.

-If the touch of the ball is incorrect and there is retention or accompaniment (doubles in this case).

-If a player penetrates the opponent's court below the net interfering with the opponent's play, or if a foot completely crosses the center line.

-If there is contact with the network.

-If at the time of service, the player steps on or crosses the line of the court.

GAME MODE

The ball is put into play with a serve that is a hit by the server who tries to send it to the opponent's court over the net. Play continues until the ball hits the ground, goes out, or a team cannot return it properly. The team that wins the rally scores the point. When the team that did not serve wins the point, they also get the serve for the next point and their players must rotate clockwise.
